There has been progress on the 3 current tasks.
My activity on this project was identifying the type screw used to attach 2 of the steps. Torx.
As you can see, these two rooms plus the loft were bathed in plastic. This included covering the floor. The working theory is the spray that doesn’t land on the walls or ceiling will be on the plastic. The plastic can be pulled up and off for disposal, and scrubbing limited to those surfaces that were still exposed. The intended spray targets will be allowed to dry, hopefully in a day, maybe a few.
Since we’re not supposed to be in the cabin during the spraying we took the opportunity to visit the Soo Locks. And do laundry, yet another task completed.
After returning home the plastic was all removed, ready for a trash run tomorrow. A small amount of mopping ensued. More removing tomorrow along with some window washing. Then round 2 of Powder Post eradication will be done. And we won’t know for a while if a round 3 will be required.
On the kitchen floor project we may have found our contractor! I called 4, left messages with 3. The 4th answered and we had a very productive on-site meeting. I hope to get a schedule put in place soon, likely in October.
Tired again, but a good tired.
