I was going to call this, “What I Did for My Summer Vacation,” and I will try to get to that, eventually. Instead I’ll start with the basic bookends to the Vacation.
Since we are of a certain age range we have doctor appointments. This meant we couldn’t leave until some appointments had happened, and needed to be back before they started up again. That gave us a bit over a month in between to gallivant about the country. Almost 7,000 miles worth.
And, as much as I meant to complete a post a few days or more ago, it didn’t happen. And I am currently heading back to Michigan, this time by plane.
Should be an interesting flight. I went cheap. Red-eye, and assigned the middle seat in the absolute last row. It is near a bathroom if that becomes necessary.
Because we are baseball fans (not just Mariner fans), and Carl’s team growing up was the White Sox, we had folks over to watch the White Sox vs. Guardians tonight. The gathering was fun, deep dish pizza, salad, and marionberry crumble for dessert. But the White Sox lost. The game was quick enough that it ended about 2 minutes before before I had to leave for the airport. And as a bonus, one of our guests drove me so Carl could finish up hosting duties, and the dishes.

And now we’re boarding.
UPDATE! Row 11, aisle seat, and nobody in the center seat. Over and out.

Those pesky doctor’s appointments! We don’t dare cancel one or we won’t get another one for months. I’ve been concerned about you but figured you were just busy. Dad is doing OK? You scored on that seat. I usually choose aisle although farther back in the plane because I prefer to be near the bathroom. (diuretic in my blood pressure pill) Safe travels!
