Christmas Day into Evening

It has been a good day. From the morning coffee to the apple pie dessert. The middle was full of talking to friends and family.

The dinner turned out quite well, if I do say so myself.

Perhaps not as good as Jane’s souffle, but it didn’t have bacon on the side.

My breakfast was very different, but so enjoyable. Persimmons from Cheryl and Tony’s garden (Becca’s parents), and my annual grapefruit. Carl’s not allowed to have grapefruit, so it isn’t something we buy.

A quite satisfactory day. We hope yours was as well.

The food looks delicious! My day was OK, which these days is good. I’m not complaining, at least not TOO much.

The decision to get a prime rib was off of our usual food list, but it struck a chord somewhere. Really easy to make as it turns out. We have enough food in the form of leftovers for several days now.
