First off, so fitting that Freeman scored for the USA o Juneteenth!
We headed downtown to feel and be part of the vibe. We started off with some neighbors and got onto the pathway from Pike Place down to the waterfront by the aquarium. It was so crowded that we opted to continue down to the actual waterfront. We ended up near the bottom of the ramp by aquarium building. We could see the really large screen on the pier. For the run of play we were too far away for details, but close-ups were good, like after scoring a goal.

What I found amazing, was this huge crowd got quiet to hear the referees call on a possible offsides with the second goal. (Not offsides, goal counts.)

Because we were there and have a membership we went into the Aquarium. Primarily to use the restroom but did spend some time with the creatures. The big guitar fish was especially awesome inspiring.

We wandered further, ate our lunch on the Harbor Steps, and watched the last quarter of the game from outside a downtown bar, Ruebens Brews. After the bar partially emptied following the game we found a table to watch the first half of Scotland vs Morocco. Carl went to get a few beers and the bar owner pulled him out of line and comped him the beers with no waiting. We have known them for several years now. It’s good to have friends.

More wandering down the waterfront eventually finding our way into Victory Hall, across from T-Mobile Park. The thought had been to get dinner, and we did get an Australian Sausage Roll from a food truck, which we took with us to the Mariners line.

Finally into the ballpark for a game against the Boston Red Sox. Well, the Mariners didn’t fare as well, and didn’t get a hit until the 7th inning. We left the game after the 7th inning hit. Tired after our 2nd long day in a row, and there’s another game tomorrow. There’s always another game.
