Visits

Today has been a bit slow for me. I was in a rhythm of work outside starting just before noon. But it has rained most of the day, and I am generally a fair weather gardener. At least I don’t need to even consider watering anything today.

We did box up the bobbleheads into two large boxes.  Now to figure how to transfer them. Maybe through an intermediary because the recipient lives many miles away, but there are coworkers who live close to me.

Boxed Bobbles

The fun part of the day started in the SeaTac Cell Phone Waiting Lot. Estimating when to leave for an airport pickup is a bit of an art. I usually leave when the plane has landed. However with major traffic disruptions on I-5 just south of our house we looked at ETA, 15 minutes early, and added a few minutes. We slipped into the cell-phone lot to wait to hear. Turns out the plane landed early but then had to wait for a gate to park. It all eventually sorted itself out and we picked up Chris, Carl’s college roommate.

Chris’s luggage has arrived at our house. Chris is taking a few more hours to arrive. He, Carl, Mark, and Kevin are at the Mariners game. They started really early with an opportunity to meet players, pictures only. The players walk around and talk to fans lining the warning track. You never know exactly who will make it to your location.

Hopefully they had fun and the game goes well too. No telling this season.

How wonderful to have a friend visit! I can’t imagine walking off a plane and then going to a baseball game. I’m usually tired! No telling indeed. Sigh.

From the drop-off to them arriving home was about 8 hours. A long time but they appear to have had a good time meeting some of the players and coaches. Plus the Mariners won with a walk-off single.
And they’re off already for today’s day game.
My husband is crazy, although he would say passionate.
