We had chicken for dinner tonight.
I was carefully cutting mine into bite sized pieces and Carl asked me if I was cutting it up for my grandmother.
I said, “I am the Grandma!”
Then, after a little reflection, I realized I am the only current Grandma in Carl and my little immediate family.

The son of 2 library science majors is doing a little reshelving
I still picture my mothers’ mother when I say Grandma. She was the grandparent I spent the most time with growing up, since we spent our summers at the cabin.

Grandma Finlayson. Picture stolen from my cousin’s blog, without permission. Because 3 hours time difference means it’s too late.
Grandma was a lovely lady, but not quite the vision I have of myself. Maybe I should look in the mirror.

I think people looked older back in the “olden days.” Perhaps it’s how they dressed or their hair styles. She looks like a fun person. Most of my friends are grandparents, and a few are even great-grandparents. Yikes. I feel fortunate to have my grandson; he could be my only one.

No problem about using the pic. Actually I’m not sure where *I* got it. I may have stolen it from someone else 😉

I love the caption for Corwin’s book project. Although I don’t see much RE-shelving. Grandma’s hair went white when she was quite young. Although, since our Mom was born late in Grandma’s life, she probably was older in this picture than you are now.

I’m not sure when this photo was taken but I think Grandma was much older in it than we are now. I’m too tired to do the math but I think she was around our age when WE were born. Also, we dress and wear our hair differently “nowadays”.
