I often talk about work being work. This was work too, but Wayne Drop is always fun. Last game of the Mariners’ 2018 season.

Seeing double. Another season ending gift from a friend.

Said friends

Seasons change. Temperatures drop. And furnaces fail. So we are now the proud owners of a space heater. It took 5 days to get a repair person to diagnose the problem, and another day for the repair.

We were trying to meet a friend to watch a game in a sports bar near the Seattle Center. We decided to walk. About 4.5 miles, the longest walk attempted since the summer of surgeries. This is some Amazon artwork along the way.

Chili. Spicy lentil chili. Rey lead me to this recipe. I made it for a work chili cook off. I would do it again, but make it a day in advance and just reheat. Carl and I have been eating the leftovers and they improve every day.
In addition to adding more miles, Carl has restarted working. It has been a slow start, picking up and dropping off. But Saturday we took both Dean and Audrey for 4 hours. We spent our time at a park and the zoo.

Two zoo residents and a volunteer.

The carousel was closed, so they pretended.

Sometimes the bear hugs you, sometimes you hug the bear.

Not what it seems. Those are laser eyes. Laser eyes of a robot.

We capped off the day with the Seattle Women’s Chorus. We managed transit to avoid parking. The added walking, on top of the zoo, meant we were both ready to sleep by the time we got home.
