Actually 3 losses.
Well associated with 3 losses, only at 2.
And for you numerologists out there, they all had a 2-1 in common.
Real Salt Lake 2 – Sounders 1
Aqua Sox 8 – Islanders 4 (Smoky division of the Puget Sound Senior Baseball League)
Royals 4 – Mariners 2
And yet, my day was not all sports.
I finished the book I was reading, “West of Here,” by Jonathan Evison.
Sister Jane gave me this, an advance reading copy no less.
I have seen it in the windows of book stores around this city.
The story takes place in two times, on the Olympic Peninsula.
It did grab my interest, and I now have to figure out what book I am going to carry with me next.

Bah, too many losses! What kind of books do you like? I read mainly mysteries but have been known to try out other genres too.

Mysteries are probably my favorite read, especially on plane trips.. My son introduced me to his favorite writer, Terry Pratchett, several years ago, and I have read his fantasy/other world books. They are very witty. Another of my favorites is, “Good Omens”, by Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.

I read “South of Superior” this summer, and would lend you my copy, except I don’t know who has it now. I also re-read Irene Hill’s, “Ursula, Under” after Dad checked it out of the Sault library for me. The librarian I talked to apparently hadn’t read it, b/c I mentioned that one of the characters in the novel worked in the Sault library. I also just finished “New York, the Novel” by Ernest Rutherford, after peeking into Dad’s library book at the cabin. I now have “London, the Novel” to read next.
