A bad daughter day

I often tell Carl I am not, “the good wife,” I am just the wife.

But today I had every intention of calling my father to wish him a HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

But I managed to get derailed. (Actually, I asked my son whether I should eat or work out. He said, “work out.” And by the time I was done working out my brain was mush and did not remember the other things I was supposed to do today. I did not give my son the proper set of choices, or I am sure he would have said, “Call grandad!”)

And now it is too late, for today anyway.

So – here are some pictures from this summer. My Dad – he spoils us!
(Really, running at 84? You go Dad)

And I am a good daughter, since I called Dad (twice). Well, I left a message once. I called after biking 57 miles, with mushy legs, but apparently a few non-mush brain cells left.

Btw, Jay, if you don’t get a call from on YOUR birthday, it will be because of the rapture. That’s my pre-excuse and I’m sticking to it.

I just read the baseball/biking guys blog for today – he road 93 miles. Made it to NYC today. If you have not already, you should touch base with him about St. Louis.
