Headed south today, courtesy of cousins. That meant leaving the cabin, slightly neater than when I arrived 5 days ago. It seems much shorter.

I made the fire in the wood stove this morning. It was chilly outside, in the mid-40s. And coffee, but that happens every morning.
Back across the bridge.

The drive was relatively painless, but of course I wasn’t driving. After an hour or so of reflecting and resting in low 80s, we headed to Dexter’s Pub for dinner. It was really tasty and hit the spot. No pictures.

A drive through the countryside (really? more driving!) and then more relaxing in the backyard before bed.

Speaking of the bedroom I will inhabit tonight in the landfill, I was almost startled to see two paintings on the wall that had been in the houses I grew up in. They were painted by my cousins aunt, who gave/sold them to my Mother many decades ago. When my parents home was sold, the paintings were rehomed.

Plans are in place for tomorrow, and I should be back to the west coast by the end of the day.

It’s great to see artifacts from our past; I look around at my parents’ stuff at my house, my brother’s and my daughters’ and it brings back such wonderful and warm memories. I want to go to Dexter’s Pub!

It really is nice to see things. They’re still there, just in a different place. The food I had at Dexter’s was really tasty and satisfying.

Thanks for dinner! So nice to have another traveling companion and it was a beautiful evening. Safe travels and much love. Seeya later this summer.

P.S. I must’ve been really chilled out in the back seat of Mooon Yooonit (a good thing) because I don’t even remember the Big Mac narrowing to one lane of traffic. LOL!

I think it never slowed down appreciably, or maybe we were just doing 25 mph the whole crossing.
