What I didn’t do was take a before picture. This is the raspberry patch. The weeds in general grow wherever they want and there were raspberry plants trying to establish outside the boundary we have set.
That means I had to pull out some raspberries that had gone wild. It always hurts to do that, but I have to be brutal. It didn’t physically hurt because I had leather gloves on.
During the first foray to the patch I did a lot of pulling, and a bit of digging. I spent an hour, maybe more, but finally needed sustenance. After a rest I went out again, but only lasted a half hour before I had to stop. I blame the blood letting from yesterday and the higher temperatures today.
Assuming it doesn’t rain all day tomorrow I may even get some fertilizer added. There are some blooms starting to show, so I hope it’s not too late.

I was shocked to hear the rain last night; I wasn’t expecting it to come in until today. It seemed iffy from the get go although it did feel humid yesterday. And Mount Rainier had a lenticular cloud. Hope the raspberries do well!

With respect to yard work I have always maintained I would work for food. I’m starting to question that sentiment as I have such sore muscles today.
