Fisherman’s Wharf

The Monterey version. It was warm, if you were in the sun, and more importantly, out of the wind. I was comfortable with a jacket.

The flora. Patterns abound.

And some fauna

Rocks
Rocks, aka Harbor Seals, that move
Sea Lion
Starfish
Rockfish – Returned to the bay soon after this picture was taken

We also saw a sea otter. There were lots of water birds too, but nothing that I could successfully photograph.

Boats

A lovely lunch of clam chowder, garlic bread, and caprese salad.

Nicely presented for sharing with 3 people

Dinner of leftover spaghetti and a salad rounded out a successful day.

Such beautiful flora! I love all the designs and shapes. Caprese salad is one of my favorites–simple, yet refreshing.

I was intrigued with the flora because it’s so different than our normal, obviously. This Caprese salad had a few anchovies on top as well, also different.
