Boxing Day

Perhaps Bagging Day would be a more appropriate title.
Ashlan took me shopping today. It was good for me as my clothes had been getting increasingly tatterred. Although it started from a comment about not having anything special to wear for a night out on the town. My best clothes were basically what I wear to work, and they are tatterred. Really, holes in the wear spots, and just a few pair of pants that are worn almost every day. So – we took advantage of the sale prices and stimulated our share of the economy.
So at Ashlan’s urging I tried on bunches of things, and bought several. Shoes included. Ashlan definately has a sense of looking at clothes and seeing how they might look that I do not have.

Oh – and for those following the weather saga – it did start snowing and kept snowing. The temperature was high enough that it only stuck a small amount on the pavement, but it certainly did not help to get rid of any. Plowing on the arterials continues, but now it takes a tank to get through to a parking space, or onto the local streets. And once on the local streets the skidding drive is the norm. But I should not complain, just a few short miles north of us they had a foot of snow yesterday.

Sounds like fun – shopping with a daughter. I’m almost jealous. Now, to be truthful, Dan has a different sense of looking at clothes than I do. On Christmas he decided that his bike tights under wool, knee length shorts was the look he was going for. Not everyone can pull off that look, but Dan did.
