Food

Have you ever noticed that when your diet is restricted, you always see things you can’t eat.

Theme for the day – Hungry for what I can’t have.

Oh yeah – For you Michiganders that didn’t make it past midnight, the RedWings lost (boo-hoo). I found myself with two that wanted the Penguins (Nook? who are you rooting for).

I turned on the game at 10:00, looking for the news, and got hooked. That was at the start of the first (of three) overtime periods. I’d been watching the Doo-Wop pledge drive on PBS. Mark was making snide comments, along the lines of: “you’re watching a PLEDGE drive?” ‘No, I’m listening to the music, and reading the math book.’ “Now you’re watching Hockey?” “Yes, I am. What’s it to you?” Just to be annoying, I’d switch back and forth between the two.

Why do fools, why do they fall in l-o-v-e … and he’s down on the ice, taking some time to get up … Why do they fall in love?

I started out rooting for the Redwings, but then changed my allegiance, as the Penguins, especially the goalie, kept battling back and making fantastic saves. They certainly deserve the chance for another game!

I got home around 10 (Mountain) from Scrabble Night at the Library and grocery shopping, and I was sure I had missed the game and possibly the cup ceremony.

Instead I go to see most of the 2nd OT and the finale.

    Penguins in 7.
