I went all out last year trying to keep the berries off of the ground and caged from squirrels, bunnies, raccoons and birds, but didn’t get much to show for the effort. This year I am being more laid back, and will get out the cages if it looks like a good crop. Now I need it to stop raining on the weekends.

I’m starting to get a few strawberries and one of our local farms (Pichas) is opening up soon.
